4 JOY (& JOYN)

I was on a roll for a while… blogging each week.  Then, I got out of my routine (and it's so difficult to get back in!).  I enjoy writing - it makes me happy - but often times it's hard to get started.  I am SO excited about some new items though, so that's my inspiration this week.  I just have to start writing about them!

We discovered an amazing company in India. Wait, take a step back - actually, one of my sons gave me a gift (which I love!) from this company and he then proceeded to tell me about them.  He knew of them because a good friend of his had gone to India and worked there. After telling me all about the company, I knew instantly that we wanted to be part of their story.  We aren't in India working with them, but we are able to support their work by carrying their beautiful items in our shop.

The company is called JOYN, and here is a statement from their website:
"JOYN takes artisans living in poverty and joins them with the thriving fashion world.  Each step of our process is done by hand - creating more jobs, bringing more joy, and connecting more artisans with YOU."

Not only are they helping people to better their lives, they are giving sustainable skills to so many.  We are happy to carry their products.  Here are some of the items we currently have.
We have a very limited supply of each, so if you're interested,
be sure to stop by soon or email us!
We also have some of their Christmas stockings, so cute!!

Go to www.joynindia.com to learn more about them.  You'll be glad you did! Be sure to click on "About Us" on their website, too.  I love reading about and seeing pictures of everyone, as well as the process used to make the products. It's so interesting, heartwarming, and incredible!  Oh, and we actually have some of those wood stamps, like the ones they are using on the fabric!  So cool.

"JOYN continues to sell beautiful products handmade by artisans who do 100 percent of the work, from weaving to block printing to stitching.  This brings JOY to those who make the products, and JOY to those who buy them.  At the heart of JOYN lies a desire to see lives changed.  To see those crippled by poverty and hardship dance for joy."

We call that a "happy dance" and we love to do the happy dance!  We are also happy to have discovered JOYN.

Love & JOY, Donna (& Diana)
